Investors in People for Schools and Colleges

Our schools achieve excellence through the highest levels of teaching and support, strong leadership and evaluation of their processes with a view to improving performance.

For the past 17 years Investors in People has been helping schools to achieve this high level of performance. Our Framework involves everyone at the school including teaching staff, catering and administrative staff and support workers.

The flexible approach of Investors in People means we can apply the Framework with equal relevance to the smallest of primary schools to the largest of 6th form colleges. Working towards the Investors in People Standard, or beyond to Bronze, Silver or Gold, will provide improved learning and welfare for the students.

The increasing self-evaluation and the need for continuous improvement, as encompassed in the School Improvement Plans, links directly with the Investors in People Framework. So, far from being an additional undertaking for the school, Investors in People contributes to improved performance in the inspection process.

Investors in People recognises the importance of the Ofsted  inspection and how it will have an impact on setting the individual school’s or college’s agenda for its management. Much of the information collected for an Investors in People assessment is exactly the same as that required by Ofsted.
